Martha's Vineyard Center for Living
Leslie Clapp, Director
MV Center for Living
508-939-9440
mvcenter4living@gmail.com
We are looking for volunteers in two areas in particular:
The Supportive Day Program - a daily program for some of our most frail elders who are living in the community but are at risk if left alone and/or in need of socialization. This program provides crucial respite for the family caregivers. We could use volunteers to share their interests with the group or to come in and assist with daily programs, serving lunch and snacks, clean up, etc.
Also - we are recruiting volunteer board members, particularly from up-island towns, Chilmark and Aquinnah, but from all towns as well, as our board is required to be representative of all towns. The MVC4L Board is a working board with our current most urgent mission being finding and fundraising for a new location/home for the above mentioned Supportive Day Program.

508-696-8880
womenempowered@comcast.net
We need volunteers who can:
1. Commit to being an active member of a Special Events Committee (SEC) that will meet every two weeks for planning purposes.
2. As members of the SEC, they would work on the details of putting on a play on August 28th at the PAC: ticket production, ticket sales, poster reproduction, poster "posting" on store windows, soliciting sponsors, placing ads in the two newspapers, being a ticket taker at the door night of the event, or publicizing a Women's Beauty Day (where solicited salons donate a percentage of the day's take to WE), etc.
3. It could be the stuffing, sealing, stamping party that I can host so delightfully.
4. Maybe they want to take over the weekly info that should be going to the newspapers about WE's doings.
5. Maybe they want to become volunteer Facilitators..
