Mission:

The Vineyard Voice uses the web to teach kids, to help people share ideas and art and to build social and economic vitality through a community-focused online magazine.

We are a new non profit. Currently we rely upon grants to fund our operations. We have received $4250 this year. We operate an online magazine and will finance the organization through grants, donations, membership contributions, sponsor recognition and fee-for-service activities. Our full strategic plan, business plan, marketing strategy and donor packet will be available on Dec 1, 2009.

Major Programs:

Youth Voice Program: A Summer (developing into year-round) collaborative program to teach island youth video journalism. We work with island non profits and individuals to share stories which increase public awareness of org. programs and important issues. The videos are non proprietary and are shared on all organization's websites, on vineyardvoice.org and on MVTV. This is a collaboration with Featherstone and MVTV.
