Contact: Paul Munafo, Station Manager T: 508-693-9379 Founded: December 2007 Mission: Martha's Vineyard Community Radio, Inc. is an innovative volunteer-run, listener-supported, non-profit, non-commercial FM radio station dedicated to serving the community of Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts. We provide a platform for unique locally produced creative programming that is reflective of the diverse talents, views and interests of our community. We hope to nurture and develop those talents while forging bridges between local individuals and organizations. Our goal is to give underrepresented segments of our community and the general public access to the airwaves. We strive to offer unlimited, high-caliber, eclectic, thought-provoking musical, cultural, educational and community affairs programming. We represent a dedicated group of individuals that have a strong belief in community radio and what it adds to our island. With more fund raising and community support we can improve quality and programing. Major Programs: WvVy offers over 20 eclectic dj oriented programs plus DemocracyNow 5 days a week. With our affiliation on the Pacifica Network we also offer original programing provided from other affiliates. Our Fish and Farm Report on Fridays at 4pm is a very popular program featuring Tom Osmers and Willy Mason offering up a home spun look at news as it pertains to our island as well as the world at large. 501(c)(3)?
